Fram Committee Meeting Date: 07.01.2019
Present –Chris Sharpe, Susie Sharpe, Vee Singleton, Vic Stanbrook, Lindsay Want Beal
Apologies – Gill Clare, Nick Clare, Penny Wraight
Minutes 3.12.18 – Approved
Membership – No significant change.
Treasurer Report – The treasurer updated the committee on the Association’s accounts.
St Michael’s update: Chairman gave an update, including that no minutes had been published by the Town Council since the meeting in October, which was noted.
Mount Pleasant – There was discussion of the “Framlingham Liaison” meeting held with Persimmon Homes in December. While several Persimmon personnel were present and invitations had been sent to members of the Planning Team, one member of the Town Council and a couple of new residents of the development, only one (very late) invitation seems to have been sent to any neighbour of the development and no invitation to the Residents’ Association. This lack of inclusion of those with understanding of the history of this matter was disappointing, particularly given that FRA and existing residents of Framlingham had played a considerable role during the decision-making process.
It was agreed that the Chairman would write to Philip Ridley expressing FRA’s disappointment at being excluded from this significant meeting.
Fairfield Road – Nothing new to report
Saxtead Road/Pepperwash Lane – It is understood more information will be forthcoming in the new year.
Quiz – To booked for 22 March in St Michael’s Rooms. Advertisement to appear in Framfare and information to be posted on website (team size, food included, pay bar, prizes and raffle).
Website – Lindsay and Gill to progress when Gill has returned, and liaison needed with XXXX. The Chairman proposed that the minutes of FRA meetings, redacted as necessary for confidentiality purposes be made available on the website, seconded by Vic and unanimously agreed (see below).
Mailshots – mailing lists currently updated by XXXX, who also organises mailshots. It was agreed that names of new members need to be logged and added regularly in a transparent way, and whoever takes over this could then also be responsible for mailchimp.
Any Other Business
Request from Town Council for minutes of meetings
It was agreed that the minutes of FRA meetings, redacted as necessary for confidentiality purposes be made available on the website, and that at the next meeting the committee would discuss at what stage the minutes would be posted (i.e. whether in draft or only once agreed). The Constitution already appears on the website.
Date of next meeting – Monday 4 February, 7.30, XXXX.
